Depuis son plus jeune âge, Matt Marvane est plongé au cœur de deux cultures qui, ensemble, vont rythmer ses ambitions.
D'un côté : la Foi. Lui-même fils de pasteur, il fréquente l'église de son père et suit très tôt un enseignement qui le conduit, à l’âge de 20 ans, en Angleterre où il suivra des cours de théologie.
Il est lui même pasteur depuis plus de 15 ans aujourd'hui.
De l'autre : la musique. A 6 ans, il joue déjà du piano. A 10 ans, il donne ses premiers “concerts” en public. Peu à peu, il s'empare d’une guitare, d’un micro et clôture les célébrations à l’église par quelques morceaux. L'occasion pour lui d’enfanter un répertoire de chansons profondes et émouvantes.
À 17 ans, il crée une chorale de gospel. À 22 ans, il forme le groupe JTM Band.
JTM Band se produira sur scène jusqu'en 2012, avec plus de 300 concerts donnés à travers l'Europe et le Canada, soit 15 000 albums vendus.
Pour son premier album solo UN COIN DE PARADIS, sorti en avril 2013 et produit par le label My Major Company, Matt Marvane s’entoure du réalisateurLaurent Gueneau (Zazie, Sinsemilia, Souad Massi…).
La part belle est faite aux guitares acoustiques, au rhodes et aux sons vintage. Ses textes évoquant l’unité, l’espérance, le courage et les plaisirs simples de la vie font de cette œuvre une réussite puisque 2 ans après, ce n’est pas moins de 10 000 albums vendus et plus de 130 concerts en France, Suisse, Belgique et Canada (dont des 1ères parties au Zénith de Dijon, Paris Bercy, etc…)
NOIRS & BLANCS le deuxième album solo de Matt Marvane est la rencontre entre la pop et le gospel qu’il affectionne particulièrement !
Les sons roots de l’orgue hammond mêlés parfois à ceux d’un bel orchestre à cordes de 20 musiciens créent un accord parfait.
Un son chaleureux et feutré dévoile une fois de plus la grande sensibilité de l’artiste.
L'album sera récompensé ALBUM DE L'ANNEE aux Angels Music Awards en 2015.
Il lance parallèlement à tout cela “Louange Collective” qui depuis 2010 marque son désir de former sur le domaine de la louange qu'il exerce depuis de nombreuses années. Pour cela il s'entoure rapidement de quelques amis comme Pierre Nicolas, Franck Cliff Jean ou encore Paul Baloche.
Tout récemment Matt signe avec Integrity Music (Label de Musique Chrétienne aux Etats Unis) et sort son nouvel album RESISTANCE en 2017, puis NO COMPROMISE en 2020 et enfin POUR TOI (Volume 1) en 2021.
Matt occupe un poste de directeur Artistique pour Integrity Music de 2018 à 2020 pour développer des projets francophones.
En 2019 Matt et son épouse Sarah implantent l’église SOS Lyon (www.eglisesoslyon.com) et tous deux mettent la priorité sur son développement.

Right from an early age, French singer, songwriter, worship leader and mainstream crossover artist, Matt Marvane has found himself immersed in two cultures.
On one side has been faith. The son of a pastor, Matt grew up in church. Age twenty he travelled to England for a two year theology course, before returning home to pursue the sense of calling to lead people in worship. Matt has been a pastor for more than 15 years now.
Music has been the other force. At 6 he was playing the piano, studied music until 20, created a gospel choir at 17 in his home church, formed JTM Band in 2004 with friends and they did 4 albums, toured across Europe and Canada.
Fusing Hammond and Rhodes, nodding to John Mayer, Stevie Wonder and James Morrison, Matt’s music has grown steadily richer across the two solo albums. His 2013’s solo album – ‘Un Coin de Paradis’ (‘A Corner of Paradise’) – resulted in Matt being approached and signed by a mainstream French label, and opened doors for him to play in an array of secular venues, on national radio and tv.
“I never thought I was going to do music in the secular world,” he said around the release of his 2015 solo album ‘Noirs et Blancs’ (‘Black and White’) which won ‘Album of the Year’ at the Angels Music Awards in France. “It was a big challenge for someone who just wrote worship songs. But I've been blessed to see new connections with people who are not attending church on Sundays, for my music to give them love, joy and hope.”
Matt’s voice within the Church has grown at the same time as his mainstream career. Out of a desire to help and equip people involved in worship ministry, Matt started “Louange Collective” in 2011, to help churches find their own identity and develop their potential. 2014 brought the release of his single ‘Heavenly Father’ – featuring Paul Baloche – which played a key role in Matt signing with Integrity Europe in March 2015.
In2017, Matt released a third solo album with INTEGRITY MUSIC, ‘Resistance’. The songs are the result of efforts by Matt and his wife Sarah to encourage unity in the church throughout Europe. By bringing all believers in Jesus Christ together to worship and pray, with a focus on their cities and countries, Matt believes that real change can be made: “I think it's a season where the Church needs to stand firm and make no compromise. The world is shaking in many different ways but Church needs to believe and live dependent on the solid grace of God to shine more and more.”
